The session finishes with juice and biscuits and an opportunity to relax an chat.

Earth Keepers

Through the workings of the Eco-Congregation project the national Church guides a wide range of practical day-to-day activities at local church level throughout our nation. The cost of inaction is huge and the cost of action is small. The actions we would take to tackle the problem through wise resource use, action on lifestyle and care for the less well off in society are core to good Christian stewardship. Dare we take the risks with God's good Creation?

The Guild
Location: Church Hall
Day/Time: 1st and 3rd Monday monthly 7.30 pm
Contact: Mrs Morag Gunn Tel: 01224 722831

Guild meetings are open to both ladies and gentlemen, and when there is a speaker of interest, both genders are present. Non church members come along sometimes and our friends from the Rural Institute and the Roman Catholic Community are frequent visitors. The Guild meets twice a month, and dates and topics are published quarterly in the parishioner. Locally, meetings, fund raising events and outings are held, but as part of a bigger picture, meetings with other Guilds in the Presbytery are held several times a year. Nationally, this Guild is linked to the Church of Scotland Guild and their themes are followed and their projects supported. Six projects are supported for three years and then another six are chosen. Guild news is circulated in every Parishioner magazine, as mentioned , as is the invitation for anyone interested to join. If you are new, and want to come along, any Duty Elder will introduce you to a Guild Member, who will answer any of your questions.
